Introduction

Welcome to the help for Pack Tracker.

Pack Tracker was built specifically to track you inventory in your backpack(s) or any kind of packs. You can add unlimited packs, and unlimited items per pack.

If you understand this one thing, it should help you with the rest of the program.

Each pack consists of one or more compartments. You must have at least one compartment. Your items go into a compartment. That's it.

Except for one more thing, each item is categorized. This lets you look at all of your items by category and find out where an item is located (what pack and what compartment in that pack).

There are different points of view. For instance I can look at my packs by pack, compartments, items, or categories.

Here are some terms we use that you will want to understand:

Browse - A list of records on the screen.

Form - This is a screen where you will update the record.

Record - This is the information you are storing, for instance, in a pack record you will store the name of the pack, it's location and other information pertaining to the pack.

Field - The record consists of fields, like the name of the pack would be a field, the location would be another field in the pack record.

If you don't understand, don't worry. It's not that difficult and you really don't need to think about it too much.
