Here is where you can enter the information about your pack.
The first thing you want to do is name your pack and put in a location. You can also select an image so you can see what the pack looks like. It is not necessary to take a picture of your pack of course.
The pack cost is what it cost just for the pack alone. The Items cost will be calculated after you enter all the items in the pack, along with the total # of items, # of compartments, and the total item weight. You should go ahead and enter the weight of the pack itself.
Note that all weights are stored in Kilograms. This makes it easier to add things up, and most items purchased these days for packs are indicated in grams or kilograms. A kilogram in 1000 grams, so if you have an item that is 57 grams, enter .057 kg. However, if you would like to enter in pounds and ounces, just click on the little icon next to the entry of the kg and you can enter pounds and ounces.
After entered the main pack information, you can go ahead and enter the compartments of the pack right away by clicking on the Tab called Compartments in Pack, or you can save the pack record by pressing enter or clicking OK.
If you are just learning this for the first time, I recommend just saving this pack and going back to the pack tree and adding your compartments.
